Dr. Camilla Floros

Camilla Floros is a marine scientist who has spent more than 20 years working across the Western Indian Ocean, with a strong focus on coral reefs, fisheries, and community-led conservation. She is the Principal Scientist and Programme Leader for Oceans Without Borders, a Wild Impact initiative delivered in partnership with &Beyond, where she leads long-term marine conservation programmes in Mozambique and Tanzania. Camilla’s work centres on helping critical habitats recover by combining solid science with practical management—through monitoring, restoration, and rebuilding key species that keep ecosystems in balance. She works closely with government partners, protected area managers, and coastal communities to turn data into real-world action, including fishery replenishment zones and predator recovery efforts.
