Dr. Caleb Ofori-Boateng
Caleb Ofori-Boateng is the first Ghanaian to study and work for the protection of amphibians in Ghana. He founded Herp-Ghana, West Africa’s first amphibian and reptile conservation organisation. Herp-Ghana collaborates with government and local communities to protect priority amphibian habitats, raise nationwide awareness, and restore degraded habitats. Caleb is also at the forefront of amphibian research, and his work has resulted in the discovery of several new species to science and the rediscovery of populations that were thought to be extinct.
