Louise de Bruin
Louise de Bruin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Game Rangers Association of Africa (GRAA), a member-based organisation representing and supporting rangers across the African continent. With over a decade at GRAA, she has worked closely with ranger teams across diverse landscapes, advocating for ranger welfare, professional development, and greater recognition of the critical role rangers play in conserving Africa’s natural heritage. Louise holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the University of Pretoria and an Honours degree in Journalism. A long-time champion of rangers on the frontlines of conservation, she believes that protecting wildlife starts with properly supporting the people who protect it. When she’s not working, she’s happiest in the bush — preferably with no cell signal or running trails with her husband and her dog!
