Peter Lalampaa
Peter joined Grevy’s Zebra Trust (GZT) in November 2007, with a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Kenyatta University. With encouragement from GZT, he graduated with an MSc in conservation biology from the University of Kent, UK, in 2011. In 2013, Peter was recognized as a Disney Conservation Hero for his outstanding contributions to Grevy’s zebra conservation and was recognized as an Explorer’s Club Top Fifty. Passionate about addressing rangeland degradation, Peter focuses on mitigating its impacts, which jeopardize both wildlife conservation and pastoralism. Today, Peter stands as the Executive Director at GZT. This is a fitting recognition of his ability to guide GZT in achieving its vision.
