Dr. Siro Masinde
Siro Masinde is a Program Officer at the JRS Biodiversity Foundation, a grant-making organization supporting biodiversity conservation in Sub-Saharan Africa. JRS-funded projects focus on biodiversity informatics, generating data and information, and developing the digital tools needed by conservation practitioners, researchers, and policy-makers to enable data-driven action and decision-making. Siro has extensive experience at both local and global levels in natural and cultural heritage research and conservation, and the mobilization and sharing of biodiversity data and information through open-access platforms. He enjoys supporting prospective grantees in developing strong proposals and advising them through implementation to maximize impact. To him, preserving this rich heritage isn't just a career, but an urgent call to keep nature’s symphony playing.
